The Concept
WESTSLINGERS is a story-driven adventure game set in the Old West. Players take on the role of gunslingers – notorious outlaws and bounty hunters – as they navigate the treacherous landscapes of the Wild West in search of fame, fortune, and revenge.
This game combines elements of traditional role-playing games with a poker-inspired card system. Players must use strategy and quick-thinking to outwit their opponents and make their way to the top of the leaderboard.
Gameplay
Players start off by creating their own gunslinger character, choosing from a variety of unique attributes and skills. The game is divided into rounds, with each round consisting of three phases: Planning, Action, and Resolution.
In the Planning phase, players must decide on their actions for the round, such as attacking other players, robbing banks, or completing quests. This is where the poker-inspired card system comes into play. Each player is dealt a hand of cards, and they must strategically choose which cards to play for their actions.
During the Action phase, players reveal their cards and take turns executing their chosen actions. This is where the real fun begins as players can use special abilities and weapons to sabotage their opponents or gain an advantage.
The Resolution phase is when the consequences of each player’s actions are revealed. Will your attack succeed or will you end up in a shootout with another player? It all depends on the cards played and the luck of the draw.
