How to Play

The objective of Hold Your Own Game is simple: be the first player to get rid of all your cards. The game is played with a deck of 54 cards, consisting of four colors (red, blue, green, and yellow) and four types of special cards – Wild, Skip, Reverse, and Draw 2. To start the game, each player is dealt 7 cards, and the remaining cards are placed in a draw pile.

The first player places a card from their hand on the discard pile, following either the color or number on the top card. If unable to play, the player must draw a card from the draw pile. The game continues in a clockwise direction and players can use special cards to either skip the next player, reverse the direction of play, or make the next player draw two cards.

The Wild card allows the player to choose the color of the game, while the Draw 2 card forces the next player to draw two cards and skip their turn. The game continues until one player has no cards left, and they are declared the winner!
