Polyball Game

Polyball is an exciting and fast-paced game that combines elements of tennis, volleyball, and basketball. It is played on a custom-built court with a trampoline-like surface and large flexible walls that allow players to jump and bounce to extreme heights. The game was invented in 2001 and has gained popularity in recent years as a fun and unique sport.

Rules of the Game

The basic rules of Polyball are simple: two teams of three players each try to score points by throwing a ball over the large flexible walls and onto the opponent’s side of the court. Players are not allowed to use their hands or arms to hit the ball, except for the designated “thrower” who can use their hands to serve the ball. The ball can be hit with any part of the body and players are encouraged to use their creativity and acrobatic skills to maneuver the ball around the court.

The court is divided into three sections: the front zone, middle zone, and back zone. The front zone, located near the walls, is where players serve the ball and try to score points. The middle zone is used for ball movement and is located between the walls and the trampoline surface. The back zone is where players can stand and rest during the game.

Scoring

Points are scored when a team successfully throws the ball over the walls and lands it in the opponent’s zone. The amount of points awarded depends on the zone where the ball lands:

  • Front zone: 5 points
  • Middle zone: 3 points
  • Back zone: 1 point

The first team to reach 21 points wins the game, but they must also be at least 2 points ahead of the opponent. If both teams reach 20 points, then the game continues until one team has a 2-point lead.

Equipment

The only equipment needed to play Polyball is a custom-built court and a special ball. The court is typically made of a trampoline-like surface with large flexible walls that can be adjusted to different heights. The ball used in Polyball is similar to a standard volleyball but is slightly larger and has more bounce.

Benefits of Playing Polyball

Polyball is an excellent workout for both the body and mind. It requires players to constantly be in motion, jumping and diving to hit the ball and score points. The game also improves hand-eye coordination, balance, and agility. Additionally, it is a great way to relieve stress and have fun with friends.

“Polyball is not just a game, it’s a way of life. The adrenaline rush you get when you hit the perfect shot is unmatched.”

-Polyball player
