The Objective
The goal of Catch the Fox is to be the player with the highest number of chickens at the end of the game. But watch out, because the sneaky fox is on the loose and is ready to snatch away the chickens at any moment!
The Setup
To start the game, set up the game board and place the fox in the middle of the board. Next, fill the fox’s pants with all the chickens and close the pants tightly. Each player then chooses a colored chicken coop and takes all the chickens of that color from the fox’s pants. Finally, spread the rest of the chickens around the board, making sure they are easily accessible to all players.
Gameplay
The youngest player goes first and the game continues in a clockwise direction. On your turn, spin the spinner to determine your move. The spinner has three options:
- Roll 1: Pick 1 chicken from any spot on the board and add it to your chicken coop.
- Roll 2: Pick 2 chickens from any spot on the board and add them to your chicken coop.
- Roll 3: Steal 1 chicken from any opponent’s chicken coop and add it to your chicken coop.
If you land on the “Fox” side of the spinner, you must reach into the fox’s pocket and take a chicken, then place it in your chicken coop. However, be careful not to let the fox’s pants pop open, or you will have to return all the chickens in your coop back to the fox’s pocket!
The End of the Game
The game ends when all the chickens have been collected from the board and the fox has been left with an empty pocket. The player with the most chickens in their coop is declared the winner!
