It was a dark and stormy night, the wind howling through the trees as I walked home from a late shift at work. The streets were deserted, and I couldn’t shake off the eerie feeling that someone was following me. Little did I know, the nightmare was just beginning.
The Setup
As I reached my front door, I noticed a note stuck to it with a knife. My heart pounding, I cautiously approached and read the note. Written in a messy scrawl were the words, “You’ve been chosen to play the Kidnapper Game. Follow the instructions or face the consequences.”
I was frozen with fear, but something inside me compelled me to enter the house and investigate. Inside, I found another note with a location and time for the start of the game. Against my better judgement, I decided to go.
The Game Begins
I arrived at the designated spot, a run-down warehouse on the outskirts of town. As I cautiously entered, I saw six other people gathered in the dimly lit room. We were all confused and scared, but before we could make sense of the situation, the doors slammed shut behind us.
A chilling voice boomed over a speaker, “Welcome to the Kidnapper Game. You have all been chosen to play for a grand prize of $1 million. The rules are simple: the last one standing wins. Oh, and be careful, there’s a real killer among you.”
A sense of panic and despair washed over me as I realized I was trapped in a life-or-death game. The voice continued to give us each a task, such as retrieving an item from a dark room or solving a puzzle. Those who failed were eliminated from the game in gruesome ways.
The Twist
As we dwindled down to the final two, I began to suspect that the killer might actually be one of the other players, not a part of the game. My paranoia proved to be true as the final task was revealed – to kill the other remaining player.
In a frenzy, I managed to overpower the other player and escape from the warehouse. As I ran towards the nearest police station, I couldn’t help but think about the blood money offered for winning the game. It was a sick and twisted setup orchestrated by a mastermind with no regard for human life.
The Aftermath
The police arrived at the warehouse, but it was already too late for some of the other players. The mastermind was never caught, and the game was never played again. However, the trauma and constant fear stayed with me for a long time. I couldn’t help but look over my shoulder, wondering if the kidnapper game was truly over.

The Moral
The allure of money and prizes can cloud our judgement, leading us down a dangerous path. In a world where greed and power rule, we must always be vigilant and never fall prey to such cruel and inhuman games.
As for me, I’ve learned my lesson and will never trust a suspicious note or strange game again.
