What is Lawgivers?

The Components
The Lawgivers game comes with:

- 138 law cards in 7 different categories
- 100 resource tokens in 5 different types
- 45 temple tiles
- 30 stronghold tiles
- 30 workshop tiles
- 30 cemetery tiles
- 15 city walls tiles
- 12 score markers
- 6 victory point markers
- 6 large pawns to represent each player
- 6 small pawns to represent each player’s advisors
- 2 six-sided dice
Gameplay
The game begins with each player choosing a starting position on the map and placing their large pawn on it. The starting positions are divided into 6 factions, each with their own unique strengths and weaknesses.
On their turn, players can take one of the following actions:
- Building Structures: Players can use their resources to build structures such as temples, strongholds, workshops, cemeteries, and city walls. Each structure provides different benefits and will help players gain victory points.
- Gaining Resources: Players can collect resources from the regions they control on the map. These resources can be used to build structures or to enact laws.
- Enacting Laws: The law cards have various effects such as increasing resource production, gaining victory points, or affecting other players’ actions. Players can use their resources to enact these laws and gain their benefits.
- Moving Pawns: Players can move their pawns and advisors on the map to gain control of more regions or to take control of structures built by other players.
The game ends when a player reaches 20 victory points or when all the temple tiles have been claimed. The player with the most victory points is declared the winner and becomes the ultimate Lawgiver of this imaginary nation.
