If you’re a fan of card games that require strategy, quick thinking, and a bit of luck, then you’ll love Pulling No Punches Game. This fast-paced and highly competitive game is perfect for game nights with friends and family.
The Objective of the Game
The goal of Pulling No Punches Game is simple: be the first player to get rid of all your cards. But it’s not as easy as it sounds, as your opponents will be trying to sabotage your efforts.
Game Setup
To set up the game, you will need a deck of playing cards (jokers removed) and at least 3 players. You can also use a deck of pull-tab tickets, with one for each player instead of playing cards. Each player will also need a pen or pencil and a small piece of paper.
Gameplay
Pulling No Punches Game is played in rounds, with each round consisting of multiple turns. The player to the left of the dealer goes first and play continues clockwise.
On your turn, you must play a card that is either the same suit or the same number as the previous player’s card. For example, if the player before you plays a 7 of hearts, you can either play any heart card or a 7 of any suit.
If you are unable to play a card, you must draw a card from the deck. If the drawn card can be played, you can play it immediately. Otherwise, you must keep it in your hand and end your turn.
The twist in this game comes with the use of pull-tab tickets. Each ticket has a pre-written action or challenge that the player must do when they draw it. These actions can range from making animal noises to completing tongue twisters. This adds an element of surprise and fun to the game, making it more than just a card game.
Scoring
The winner of each round earns one point for each card they have left in their hand. The first player to reach 5 points wins the game.
Strategy Tips
- Be mindful of the cards you play. It’s tempting to get rid of all your high-value cards, but you might need them as a last resort.
- Take note of the pull-tab tickets that have been played and their effects. This can give you an advantage in future rounds.
- Try to get rid of the pull-tab tickets early in the game to avoid having to do multiple challenges in later rounds.
- Communicate with other players and try to strategize together. It could help you all reach your goal of getting rid of all your cards faster.
In Conclusion
Pulling No Punches Game is a sure way to liven up any game night. It’s easy to learn, highly interactive, and will have everyone laughing and having a great time. So gather your friends and family and get ready to pull no punches!
