- If the frog catcher catches a frog before it reaches the lily pad, that frog is out of the game.
- If a frog successfully hops onto the lily pad, they are safe and cannot be caught by the frog catcher. However, they can still be eliminated if they fall off the lily pad.
- If a frog falls off the lily pad, they are out of the game.
- The game continues until there is only one frog left on the lily pad, who is then declared the winner.
Variations
