However, if a player reveals a three of clubs and another reveals a six of spades, these are not a valid pair since they are of different suits and sum up to an even number of nine.

For example, if a player reveals a card that is higher than any previously revealed card, then it must form a pair with the card of the same suit that the previous player has revealed.
